He used fancy italian technique and sacrificed his shoes but failed to make the basic shape of a sloppy tube. Then a horrible perfume vessel that made him get lumped into the losers group that didn't get eliminated out of pity.Īnd then the sock. Next a misaligned ugly ass jar that had only a plastic-looking lid going for it. (He would later do an actually great piece on the subject of death, further reinforcing that he shoehorned this personal tragedy in the first one to win by television). It obstructed people's view and had a hand (that looked like a blob) in the base and when he saw it was a piece of crap he cried about his dad to shame the judges. Then he made a horrible misaligned dark monolith when asked to do a lively central piece for a diner table. IM A JOURNALIST AND I NEVER IN MY LIFE USED A PENCIL PROFESSIONALLY. He was the worst in so many episodes.įirst he had to make a character and made a pencil, and said it represented journalists. Yes YES I just finished watching the season and boy I hated the guy. While Chris made a piece of glass BOUNCE!ĭon't be fooled. She was pushed through because her bubbly personality would attract the kind of audience member who has never actually met a glassmaker or artist.Īnd final note, Kat walked around in circles for four hours, dripping glass into a pile, in order to make the finals, which I'm a HUNDRED percent sure I could do with an few minutes of instruction. There were several contestants who deserved to be in the finals and none of them were Kat. Of course that week it was hard for the judges to decide who should go home. Kat on the other hand conceived of making a bottle that looked like hammered steel :/ and still managed to make it look worse. Remember Chris got praise for his concept even though his execution was lacking that week. Let's not forget when Kat's lack of skills were on full display during the perfume bottle week. The producers clearly wanted her in the finals to boost ratings. Like how does a pencil represent news reporters?!?! I think he just did that so if the judges vote him out he can say it was because they didn’t understand and use it as an excuseĭid anyone notice that Kat was being pushed through to the finals without merit. He also He also always tries to use pity or take advantage of something so the judges look bad if they criticize. It makes me so mad when his is clearly the worst but the biased judges give him a pass and take someone else out that actually did the challenge like they removed the guy who made a character for the first time and actually did the challenge instead of getting rid of Chris who did a pencil. One episode he even said everyone else was mediocre when all he was doing was taking glass and hammering it. Almost every time he was my least favorite but always made it forward. The whole time he seemed to think of himself above the judges and everyone else as people who’ve never blown glass before. (To be fair the teddy bear was pretty bad.)He made me so mad I think the only reason he made it so far is that he was connected to the judges from teaching some of them so they were biased. a plain vase with rings and made it through.
